Maybe you’ve decided to try some alkaline water for yourself and see what the buzz is all about. But, how do you get alkaline water? The 10 Best Alkaline Water Filter Pitchers
1. Naples AOK109 Alkaline Water Filter Pitcher – Best Overall
For us, the best option overall was the Naples Naturals alkaline water filter pitcher. This filter automatically creates the perfect mineral balance to provide you with crisp tasting water full of health benefits. Each filter cartridge lasts for 70 gallons and you get an extra one included with the pitcher, so you shouldn’t need any more replacements for a few months. The pitcher is BPA-free and comes in many vibrant colors for you to choose from.
We really enjoyed the refreshing taste of the water from the Naples Naturals pitcher and we kept coming back for more. Usually, that resulted in some spilled water since the lid doesn’t want to stay in place when pouring, but we still wanted more of the delicious water this pitcher makes, which is why it earned our top recommendation.
2. Lake 7000 Alkaline Water Filter Pitcher – Best Value
Some of the alkaline water filter pitchers we tested for this list were surprisingly expensive, but the Lake Industries 7000 is more affordable. That doesn’t mean it’s not just as good, though. The delicious and pure water it makes for such an affordable price is why we think it’s the best alkaline water filter pitcher for the money. It features a seven-stage filter cartridge that removes all the unwanted contaminants from your water while adding delicious and nourishing minerals thanks to the combination of ion exchange resin, mineral balls, carbon, and tourmaline.
Each filter lasts for 40 gallons, which is on the lower end of the spectrum. Thankfully, replacements are more affordable than with other pitchers. Unfortunately, this pitcher only includes one filter, so you’ll need to purchase replacements pretty soon. We like when manufacturers include a spare filter with the pitcher, but for this low price, we can’t complain.
3. Seychelle Alkaline Water Filter Pitcher – Premium Choice
When you look at the Seychelle alkaline water filter pitcher, you can tell that it’s different than the others. It’s got two separate filters, unlike the single filter present on the other pitchers we tested. Luckily, each filter is good for 100 gallons, so you won’t need to replace them very often since you need to replace two when you do.
The water from the Seychelle pitcher tastes amazing, but what impressed us most was the pH improvement. This can enhance your water up to a pH of 9.5! Our water got pretty close in testing, which is why the Seychelle pitcher earned our premium choice recommendation.
This pitcher is on the higher end of the price spectrum, likely because of the dual filters. The filters are also more expensive than with other filters, and you’ll be replacing two each time. Overall, it’s a way more expensive filter pitcher, in the short-term and long-term. But it’s a high-quality pitcher with a lid that even stays put when you pour, and it raised the pH of our water higher than any other filter pitcher on this list.
4. Invigorated Water Alkaline Water Filter Pitchers
If you want a stylish way to alkalize your water, the Invigorated Water alkaline water filter pitcher is a great option to check out. It’s got a sleek stainless-steel construction with a wood handle, making it look unique from all the other pitchers we tested. The On-The-Go filter bags are extremely easy to use. Just drop one in the pitcher of water, wait a few minutes, and your water is alkaline. It didn’t raise the pH of our water as high as some of the other pitchers we tested, but it was our favorite to look at.
Each filter bag is good for 105 gallons, which is better than many of the competing pitchers on the market. We also really liked the taste of water that was filtered with this pitcher. In the end, we felt it was a great pitcher, but a little overpriced. If it had raised the pH of our water higher, then it may have earned a higher ranking as well.
5. Invigorated Glass Alkaline Water Filter Pitchers
Invigorated Water is making some interesting and unique alkaline water filter pitchers, and the pH REPLENISH all-glass model is one of our favorites. Since it’s all glass, the pitcher adds no taste or chemicals to your water, but it’s also very easy to shatter if you drop it. The On-The-Go filter packets add a light and refreshing taste that we enjoyed. However, they don’t raise the pH as high as some filters and they’re expensive, but the 105-gallon lifespan might be worth the tradeoff.
This pitcher holds 61 ounces of water, plenty for most individuals and families. It’s protected by a money-back satisfaction guarantee in case you don’t like it or it doesn’t work for you.
6. OXA HG0173 Alkaline Water Filter Pitcher
This alkaline water filter pitcher from OXA has some of the longest-lasting filters we’ve seen. They’re seven-stage filters that remove contaminants from your water and replace them with nourishing minerals that raise the pH. With a lifespan of 153 gallons, they won’t need to be replaced very often. Even better, you get an extra filter included with the pitcher. This means you can filter over 300 gallons of water before you need to purchase a replacement cartridge. But when you try to replace them, you’ll notice something unsettling. No replacements are available!
We really liked this pitcher, but without replacement cartridges available, it’s only usable for 300 gallons before you need to replace the whole pitcher! If replacement filter cartridges were available, the OXA pitcher would likely be a top contender.
7. Dafi Water Filter Pitchers
The Dafi Alkaline UP water filter pitcher lures you in with attractive looks, a spare filter cartridge, and a free 24-ounce sport water bottle. Then you look at the price tag and realize that it’s the most expensive pitcher on this list. So, what do you get for the high price tag? Aside from what we mentioned so far, you get compatibility with the Dafi mobile app that reminds you when it’s time to change the cartridge. There’s also an LED indicator on the lid, so this might be overkill, but at least you won’t forget. But those replacement cartridges are pricey, just like the initial purchase of this pitcher.
The Dafi pitcher is one of the few all-glass alkaline pitchers on the market. Glass doesn’t react with anything in the water, providing you with the purest taste and highest-quality water. We can’t really taste a difference, but the pitcher is definitely glass. What we did notice was how slow this pitcher filters water. Once you fill the top, it’s going to be a while before you can drink. If that bothers you, better look elsewhere for your alkalinity!
8. Pitcher of Life Alkaline Water-Filter Pitchers
The Pitcher of Life has a simple, all-plastic design that allows it to sell for cheaper than many other alkaline water pitchers on the market. Though the initial pitcher purchase is inexpensive, the filters are more expensive than many of the other pitchers we tested, so it’s a catch-22. The slim design of this pitcher means it fits easily in cramped fridges. But the most important thing is that it raises the pH of water by two points, a pretty significant jump.
There was a major flaw we noticed with this pitcher. When you pour the alkalized water, unfiltered water from the top always pours with it, mixing into your drinking glass. The reservoir also never drained completely, so there was always some un-filtered water there to mix with our alkalized drinking water.
9. Santevia P404 Water Filter Pitcher
The Santevia P404 wasn’t one of our favorite alkaline water filter pitchers, mostly because it didn’t raise the pH of our water very much. It did boost it some, but only small increases were seen in our testing. The pitcher holds two liters of water and has an easy-fill lid. But in the last of our water at the bottom of the pitcher, there was usually some charcoal sediment left behind from the filter. It’s not the end of the world, but we don’t particularly care for drinking charcoal. That combined with the low effect on pH earned this pitcher a low ranking on our list since so many better options are available.
10. Enviro 796515300406 Alkaline Water Filter Pitchers
This alkaline water pitcher filter from New Wave Enviro was more expensive than most of the other options we tested. Unfortunately, it delivered mediocre performance, so we feel that it’s overpriced. The cartridges only last for 64 gallons before replacement, and the replacements are on the expensive side as well. When you consider how often you’ll need to replace the cartridges, the cost of this pitcher over the long run is just too much.
We did like the space-saving design of this pitcher that was thin enough to fit inside of our fridges that already seemed packed. But overall, it wasn’t one of our favorites and we found ourselves coming back to other pitchers instead.
If you want to experience the health-boosting benefits of alkaline water, an alkaline water filter pitcher is one of the most cost-effective and simple ways to do it. We tested quite a few of these pitchers to see which ones were the best choices. Hopefully, after reading our detailed reviews of each, you already know what pitcher will fit you best. For us, the best option was the Naples Naturals AOK109. It creates the ideal mineral balance for health and flavor in a BPA-free pitcher with cartridges that last for 70 gallons each. And you even get a spare cartridge with the pitcher.
For the best value, we recommend taking a look at the Lake Industries 7000 Alkaline Water Filter Pitcher. This affordable pitcher is equipped with an awesome seven-stage filter cartridge with inexpensive replacements. But if you don’t mind paying a bit more, the Seychelle alkaline water filter pitcher can enhance the pH of your water up to a 9.5, and each filter cartridge lasts for 100 gallons.
